Our Team

Dr. Zoë Sheldon, Associate Dentist

Dr. Zoë Sheldon is our caring associate dentist who enjoys helping patients of all ages feel comfortable and confident in their dental care. She takes her time during visits, explains things in a way that’s easy to understand, and makes sure patients feel included in every decision. Growing up in Lancaster, she’s grateful for the chance to care for the community that shaped her and enjoys the variety of people and cases she sees each day. She’s also expanding her skills in airway dentistry and orthodontic expansion to better support her patients’ overall health. Dr. Sheldon earned her DMD from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a General Practice Residency at WellSpan York Hospital. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys being with family, traveling, and relaxing with a good book.

Michele, Business Assistant

Michele is our resident insurance claims wiz and paperwork pro. Michele excels in handling insurance, payments, and billing, all while crafting happy smiles. Certified in dental assisting and radiology, she brings her passion for dentistry to the team. Michele enjoys creative pursuits like reading, writing, scrapbooking, and running. She treasures the family-like community at Buehler Family Dental, a place where she feels she can truly make a difference.

Amiee, Front Desk

Amiee manages the front desk at Buehler Family Dental, handling scheduling, check-outs, phone calls, and providing friendly support to patients. She enjoys getting to know each patient and being a listening ear for questions or concerns, inspired by the care and dedication of Dr. Buehler and Dr. Sheldon. Amiee holds an associate’s degree in Small Business Management from HACC and values the team’s family-like atmosphere. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their golden retriever, as well as going out with friends and family.

Laura, Business Assistant

Laura is a business assistant at Buehler Family Dental, supporting the front desk and ensuring smooth office operations. She has over 20 years of experience in the dental field, completing the dental assistant program at HACC in 2005 and the EFDA program at Harcum College in 2009. Laura feels fortunate to be part of a caring and knowledgeable team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, taking her dog on walks, traveling with her family, and cheering on her boys at their sporting events.

Melissa, New Patient Care Coordinator

Melissa is the new patient care coordinator at Buehler Family Dental, bringing a passion for helping people of all ages improve their oral health and overall quality of life. She earned her BA from Wake Forest University and her MEd from Duquesne University and spent nearly 20 years teaching elementary school before transitioning to dentistry. Melissa enjoys supporting the growth of her sister’s business and being part of the people-focused, family-like team at Buehler Family Dental. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter Hadley, her husband Ben, family, and friends, traveling to the beach, enjoying good food, and shopping and styling.

Sue, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Sue, a versatile EFDA with a special interest in RTOTs, is actively expanding her knowledge in airway health. Beyond maintaining office efficiency, she takes pride in observing patient transformations, fostering improved self-esteem and elevated well-being. Sue’s dedication to the practice is complemented by her love for family, crafting, and dogs. She enjoys collaborating with Dr. Buehler and the team, collectively striving towards shared community goals.

Taylor, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Taylor is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who is passionate about educating and serving the community to improve dental health and create confident, lasting smiles. She completed her dental assisting and EFDA training at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center and values the family-like atmosphere at Buehler Family Dental, along with the opportunity to learn beyond restorative care through orthodontic techniques and an airway-focused approach. Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, swimming, and playing with her dog.

Nicole, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Nicole is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who loves helping patients feel confident in their smiles while supporting their overall health through both general and airway-focused dentistry. She graduated from CHCI in 2017 and completed her EFDA training at Lancaster County Career and Technical College in 2024. Nicole values being part of a team that looks beyond the surface, focusing on long-term wellness and proper function. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, roller skating, cooking, and spending time with her husband Romelo, their dogs Piper and Dundee, and family and friends.

Kirsten, Dental Assistant

Kirsten is a dedicated dental assistant who helps make every patient’s visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. She graduated from Contemporary Health Career Institute in 2020 and supports the team through ordering, sterilization, and assisting wherever needed. She values being part of a team that truly prioritizes patient care and well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys being a wife and mother, spending time with her family, exploring the mountains, and riding dirt bikes.

Nicole, Assistant

Nicole blends her passion for airway health and restoration with a talent for building lasting connections to patients. A proud graduate of CTC’s dental assisting program, Nicole brings expertise and enthusiasm into our team. When she’s not working, she values family moments, outdoor adventures, travel, and beach escapes. At Buehler Family Dental, Nicole cherishes connecting with patients and collaborating with an exceptional staff.

Carolyn, Dental Hygienist

Carolyn is a passionate registered dental hygienist with a flair for creating lasting patient relationships. Licensed in local anesthesia, Carolyn holds an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Pennsylvania College of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Health Policy and Administration. When she’s not in the office, she’s outside camping, canoeing, kayaking, archery, or range shooting.

Brittany, Dental Hygienist

Brittany is a dedicated dental hygienist, armed with an associate degree from Harcum College and a license in local anesthesia. Committed to ensuring comfortable experiences for patients, Brittany loves to see bright smiles after appointments. She enjoys boating with her husband and yorkie poodle, Fredrick. Brittany admires her team’s dedication to excellence, and would proudly choose Buehler Family Dental, as staff and as a patient.

Emily, Dental Hygienist

Emily is a registered dental hygienist who loves helping patients gain confidence through healthy, beautiful smiles while educating them to make the best choices for themselves and their families. She values being part of a team where both patients and staff are treated like family. Outside of the office, Emily enjoys teaching her children at home, spending time outdoors, and staying active in her church community, including helping with children’s ministry on Sundays.

Kaleigh, Dental Hygienist

Kaleigh is a dental hygienist who is passionate about helping patients understand their oral health, feel confident in their smiles, and experience care in a comfortable, anxiety-free environment. She holds both an associate’s and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Pennsylvania College of Technology and is licensed in local anesthesia. Kaleigh appreciates the individualized care and attention each patient receives at Buehler Family Dental. Outside of work, she enjoys spending weekends with her family and going on camping trips with her husband.

Brooke, Dental Hygienist

Brooke is a registered dental hygienist who is passionate about educating patients on the importance of oral health and its connection to overall well-being. She earned her associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 2023 and will soon complete her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Brooke enjoys being part of a team that prioritizes patient health and values collaboration. Outside of work, she loves reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and dog.

Rachel, Office Manager

Rachel, our skilled office manager and right hand woman who oversees the practice’s business side. Assisting patients with everything from treatment plans to an inviting front desk, Rachel is reliable support, both professionally and personally. A YTI graduate, Rachel enjoys workouts, traveling with her husband, and quality time with her dogs. Building relationships with both staff and patients is her favorite aspect of working at Buehler Family Dental.
